Srinagar, Apr 26 (KNO): For the first time, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) is mulling to announce the results of 10th and 12th standard on the same date. Besides, the board has further clarified that it is planning to announce the results by April-30 or May-01. The top officials of BOSE informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the board was trying to set a new trend of announcing multiple results on the same day. “As of now, we are expecting to announce the results of 12th standard on April-30,” the official said. It also said, “80 percent chance of declaring the results of 12th standard is on April-30 but in case there will be any change, the results will be declared on May-01.” “We may declare the results of 10th standard on the same date we have scheduled the 12th class,” he said. The official however further said that in case of 10th standard results, the board has three days from April-30 to May-02. “We want to set some new precedents and trends of declaring different results on the same day. BOSE will most likely announce the twin results of 10th and 12th classes on the same day,” the official said. He said, “My staff is working round the clock so that we can announce the results of both classes on the same date.” The official said that nearly 3,55,963 students were registered for the annual regular examination of class 10th, 11th and 12th including 1,32,992 candidates of 10th standard, 1,20,673 in 11th standard and 1,02,298 students of 12th standard respectively. Pertinently, Education Minister Sakina Itoo had directed the BOSE and the concerned authorities to announce the results by April-30—(KNO)
